Kronos 80 Two-Sided Insert Fireplace
A brilliant solution for our valued customers in Neo Chorio with the installation of a two-sided insert fireplace.
The customer contacted us to replace the freestanding gas fire located in a hearth with a wood-burning stove or fireplace. After presenting various options, the customer asked if it would be possible to install a tunnel fireplace with doors on either side of the room, a two-sided insert fireplace. This installation meant removing the existing gas fire and gas line, cutting the wall out behind the existing fireplace and making a base for the new fireplace insert. Likewise, connecting electricity for the fireplace fans and finishing the fireplace surround (plastering and painting) once the insert was fitted and the flue pipe connected through the existing chimney.
Before the task began, we prepared a set of technical drawings so that our clients so could visualise the end result. It was love at first sight, and they gave us the go-ahead.
The installation was for a two-sided insert fireplace, the Carbel Kronos 80. This fireplace insert has two 2-speed fans that thrust the heat out to the rooms on either side of the wall.
